What you need: Ping pong ball or floating duck
The Object: To get the floating object to touch the opposing teams side of the spa using only water and air
Place the floating object in the middle of the spa. Create two teams and each sit on opposite ends of the tub. When someone blows the whistle, each team must get the object to touch the opposing team’s wall to earn one point.
You can blow or create waves, but you cannot touch the object. The team that scores three points first is the winner and gets to impose a penalty on all members of the losing team.
What you need: a hard plastic bottle filled with water and capped
The object: To pass the bottle completely around the spa without using your hands
You may use any other parts of your body, including your backside, but you can’t use the same body part between players. For example, you can’t pass the bottle from your armpit to another player’s armpit, but instead, you can pass it from your neck to her knee. The person who drops the bottle must suffer a penalty and then start the game over again using a different body part than the last time.
What you need: two large plastic cups
The object: each player must pour water into the floating cup without it sinking to the bottom of the spa
First, turn all the jets and bubbles in your spa off. Take a cup and set it in the middle of the tub so that it floats and bobs around (you may have to put a little water in the cup to stabilize it).
Take a second cup and fill it with water. Using only one hand, each person now takes a turn pouring water into the floating cup for two seconds. Whoever pours the drop that causes the cup to sink to the bottom of the tub is the loser and must therefore suffer a penalty (there really are no losers in hot tub games, only degrees of embarrassment).
After you pour your drops in the cup, you must count four seconds before passing the cup to the next player, if the cup sinks during those four seconds you lose. Otherwise, you successfully complete your turn and get to sit back and watch the other players tremble and suffer (it is not fair to make waves).
