How do I maintain my Spa Jets?
Endless Spas recommend removing spa jets regularly to prevent calcium or debris build ups from occurring. In most cases spa jets can be removed underwater without damaging the jet seal.
Common Jet Issues usually occur due to poor water maintenance where the spa water is not balanced or the water has not been refreshed in some time. You will find massage jets will degrade and stop rotating with jet bearings falling into the spa. Water quality is important to ensure chemicals do not eat away at plastic jet surfaces.
Jet failure can be avoided by empting (or refreshing for in ground spas) and refilling your spa with new water when required. Ensure you keep your water balanced all the time using quality chemicals designed for spas.
Poor maintained water will cause a calcium build up on the internal surface of spa jets – if your jets are coated with a white powder like substance this would mean that they have been affected by water quality.
Calcium build-up can be removed by soaking jets in a diluted vinegar solution. Move the jets around in the solution to ensure the solution moves entirely through the jet. If they are still stuck (not rotating or moving) then it is time to replace the jets.
Spa jets can be purchased online and start from $20
