Are you stressed? You are not alone. One in three people suffer from Stress and One in Five Australians are on stress related medication.
Hydrotherapy may be the answer for you.
What happens to our bodies when we are stressed?
When we become stressed our muscles constrict and blood vessels shrink. Our blood pressure as a result must increase to push the blood through smaller passages and affects the flow of blood through our system. When our bodies experience poor blood flow, we are not capable of distributing nutrients and removing toxins as easily, and as a result tissues can become undernourished and exposed to unwarranted toxins.
Poor blood circulation also affects temperature regulation, which ultimately affects the processes that occur in the body. A very simple example is when your hands are warm they are easier to use then when they are cold, hence the process of moving your hands is affected by body temperature.
What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is the use of water for therapy, and is based on its mechanical and thermal effects. It uses the bodies reaction to hot and cold stimulation, the application of heat, pressure exerted by water jets and the sensation of our bodies in water. Having a spa may not only be an effective activity to improve our overall health but to also aid the bodies underlying affects occurring from stress.
A spa offers various benefits such as relaxing our mind, increasing the temperature of our bodies, increasing our flow of blood to aid the removal of dangerous toxins, body massage and stretching.
Hydrotherapy and Spa Massage:
Spa jets and water turbulence is a great all over massage for our bodies. The warm water increases our body temperature, bubbling of air increases our circulation, and the water jets provide strong massage which is great for sore feet, aching backs and stiff necks.
Endless Spas new exclusive range of Artesian Spas feature revolutionary jets that make use of the helix concept – a three-dimensional, double-spiral form. This jet exclusive to Endless Spas has been designed to provide an amazing hydrotherapy massage. The concept has been engineered using a right direction spiral, which causes the water to spiral out in a twisting manner providing a desirable jet pulsation and massaging pressure. These jets not only provide a great massage to large body muscles but also smaller designed Helix jets provide massage to smaller muscles such as calves, hamstrings, biceps and triceps.
