Sometimes what happens in your spa should stay in your spa! We can at times be “blessed” with nosy neighbours, people walking by with a street view or even the neighbour’s living room window!
Here are some great ways to make your outdoor area more private no matter of the location or your budgetary constraints.
Gazebos
Of course, if you have a generous budget to work with you may consider investing in a gazebo to shield your spa from curious eyes. Gazebos not only provide privacy but also protect the spa from the elements. Gazebos can be purchased in kit form or you can arrange a professional to do the construction. They range in a variety of sizes and offer different options such as bar and stools, shutters and even pool fencing options.
Privacy Screens
Privacy screens are a great cost effective option to keep the spa from public viewing. There are number privacy screens options such as custom made screens made from bamboo or functional screens from a local hardware store such as Bunnings. You really are only limited by your imagination and budget.
DYI
If you consider yourself handy or creative you could buy the materials and make your own block out screens. Many local hardware stores offer instructions and do it yourself projects as such. Some materials include lattice, reed, fabric or window screens.
With any DYI project ensure the screens are made safe and secure. Make sure they can withstand the elements of the weather.
The obvious advantage is privacy! But privacy screens can also provide protection, this way you can not only enjoy your spa with privacy but also enjoy your spa time no matter what the weather is doing. It’s a win-win!!
